The Lucerne Festival Academy’s Contemporary-Conducting Program is aimed at young, aspiring professional conductors, serving as a platform for a future conducting career. Lucerne Festival believes in the importance of contemporary music for the development of young conductors. That’s why the three-week-long development program (under the supervision of course director Baldur Brönnimann) has a special focus on the music of the 20th and 21st century.

On 4 September 2025, Program participants Julia Cruz Carceller, Jasper Lecon, Molly Turner, and Leonard David Wacker took part in a one-on-one Masterclass with renowned Australian-Swiss Elena Schwarz. Together with the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra (LFCO) they worked on Pierre Boulez' Notations.

This Masterclass has been recorded and can be watched for free (after registration) on medici.tv.
