The Luzerner Theater opened in 1839 and was completely rebuilt following a devastating fire in 1924. It has a seating capacity of 481, divided between seats in the stalls and two galleries. The Luzerner Theater is today the oldest theater in Switzerland where plays, opera, ballet, and concerts are still performed. It celebrated its 175th anniversary in the 2014-2015 season.
The box office opens one hour before the concert begins.
