Peter Rundel to conduct on 29 August in place of Elim Chan
For personal reasons, Elim Chan has had to cancel her conducting engagement for the concert on 29 August with the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra (LFCO), Jörg Widmann (clarinet), Marco Blaauw (trumpet), and the SWR Experimentalstudio. We very much regret this, but are pleased to announce that conductor Peter Rundel has agreed at short notice to take over the musical direction.
Peter Rundel is one of the most internationally renowned conductors specialising in music of the 20th and 21st centuries. In recent years, he has worked with ensembles including the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra. He is regarded as a leading figure on the international contemporary music scene.
