General information

The Kultur- und Kongresszentrum (KKL) Luzern — Lucerne’s Culture and Congress Center — is the real center of the Festival: this is where most of the Summer Festival events take place, from the big symphony concerts to such series as the 40min mini-concerts. The building, which was designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel, was constructed between 1995 and 2000. Thanks to its extraordinary architecture and the one-of-a-kind acoustics of the concert hall, which ranks among the finest in the world, the KKL Luzern enjoys an international reputation. This concert for quality is also manifested in the culinary offerings available on the premises: the World Café, the Restaurant RED, and the Seebar complete the KKL Luzern experience.
