Opened in 2008, the Südpol is a cultural center and a place where Lucerne’s young creative scene meets up. The Südpol serves various groups and individual artists as a venue for rehearsing and a workshop, housing different institutions that are active in various cultural sectors under one roof: the Music Academy of the City of Lucerne, the Luzerner Theater, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the Brassband der Bürgermusik, and Südpol | Musik Tanz Theater. Four conference rooms enable a divers program to be presented, ranging from concerts and club nights to contemporary dance and theater events.
