Swedish Soprano Malin Christensson studied at the Royal College of Music and, starting in 2003, at the Benjamin Britten International Opera School. Upon graduation, she embarked on a meteoric career. She has appeared as Susanna in Mozart’s Figaro at the Festival of Aix-en-Provence, Miss Wordsworth in Albert Herring at the Glyndebourne Festival, and as Papagena at the Vienna Festival and made her debut at Covent Garden as one of the Flower Maidens in Parsifal. Her concert repertoire extends from the baroque t the 20th century: She has performed such works as Handel’s Solomon with René Jacobs, Bach’s B minor Mass with Gustav Leonhardt, Haydn’s Creation with Robin Ticciati, and Orff’s Carmina Burana with Daniel Harding. As a lied singer Malin Christensson has partnered with Roger Vignoles and Malcolm Martineau, appearing in London’s Wigmore Hall, at the Bath Mozart Festival, the Oxford Lieder Festival, and the Innsbruck Festival. In a film about Hans Christian Andersen she played the role of the “Swedish Nightingale” Jenny Lind.
