German conductor Johanna Malangré studied in Zurich with Johannes Schlaefli and gained valuable inspiration from masterclasses with Bernard Haitink, Paavo Järvi, Nicolás Pasquet, and Reinhard Goebel. She was a Conducting Fellow at the Lucerne Festival Academy in 2017 and has since
returned regularly to conduct the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra (LFCO). In 2019, she won the MAWOMA Conducting Competition in Vienna and served as Assistant Conductor with the Bergische Symphoniker. Sicne 2002, she has been Chief Conductor of the Orchestre de Picardie in France. She has guest conducted the Dortmund Philharmonic, the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, and the Real Filharmonía de Galicia, among others. In the past season, she made her debut with the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Munich Philharmonic, and the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra. In the 2025/26 season, she will make her debut with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig. Her album Sensations, a collaboration with cellist Gautier Capuçon, was released in 2022.
