Musical understanding and personal friendship

Riccardo Chailly has led the Lucerne Festival Orchestra since 2016, and after ten years he shares not only a profound musical understanding with the ensemble but a personal friendship as well. His contract as Music Director has now been extended through the end of 2028. “This orchestra thrives on challenges – and that inspires me deeply,” says Chailly in his video message.
