    Swiss composer Dieter Ammann, co-director of the Lucerne Festival Academy's Composer Seminar, is celebrating his 60th birthday on 17 May 2022.

    Wolfgang Rihm has recorded a special birthday greeting for him.

    Wolfgang Rihm, the artistic director of the Lucerne Festival Academy, met Dieter Ammann at a composition seminar at Lucerne Festival in 1997. A deep friendship has developed since then. Today, Wolfgang Rihm co-directs the Academy's Composer Seminar with Dieter Ammann. In the upcoming summer festival, Lucerne Festival will celebrate both birthday boys with a series of concerts in which central works will be performed.
