On the occasion of their third meeting, the LUCERNE FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA and Maestro Claudio Abbado have once again dedicated their efforts to one of Gustav Mahler's works. The new DVD evokes memories of the grandiose concerts the by now famous orchestra gave in Lucerne. Once again, Claudio Abbado was able to win top soloists such as Kolja Blacher, Franz Bartholomey, Natalia Gutman, Wolfram Christ, Jacques Zoon, Albrecht Mayer, Sabine Meyer, Stefan Schweigert, Alessio Allegrini, and Reinhold Friedrich for these concerts.
