As Founding Partners, Berthold Herrmann and Mariann Grawe-Gerber make it possible to present Lucerne Festival’s new Piano Fest, which is curated by Igor Levit. Both have been closely associated with the Festival for several years. They are members of Lucerne Festival Friends, where their patronage has expanded over time. They are particularly passionate about piano music. When the opportunity arose to launch a new piano festival that would take place during the most beautiful season of the year, in May, and that would attract classical music fans from other countries to Lake Lucerne, Berthold Herrmann and Mariann Grawe-Gerber offered their generous support to ensure that this ambitious project could be realised.
“The Piano Fest is a great opportunity to bring together pianists from all over the world and allow them to share their talent and passion in a variety of genres with all of us,” they explain.
