From blues of the deepest black to fast-paced boogie-woogie and thrilling stride piano, Tommy Weiss has made a name for his inexhaustible wealth of ideas and funky grooves, his knack for swinging improvisation, and his refreshingly unconventional playing technique. Born in 1968 in Bensheim in southern Hesse, Germany, he makes the familiar standards sound new and excites listeners with his own virtuoso compositions. And on top of this, he also happens to be a gifed cartoonist.
