The Sinfonía por el Perú Youth Orchestra is formed by more than 150 young musicians from the Sinfonía por el Perú music centers, who master a varied repertoire, from Peruvian and Latin American music to international classical music. At the national level, the orchestra has participated in important events and opera seasons. Together with Juan Diego Flórez, they have performed in numerous presentations such as the concert held in 2017 at the National Stadium of Lima in favor of the victims of the Niño Costero; the concert for the first seven years of Sinfonía por el Perú in 2018 at the Gran Teatro Nacional; the concert “Serenata al Perú” in the Plaza Mayor de Lima, in 2019; and, in June 2022, the first concert with Juan Diego Flórez with public attendance after the pandemic. Their first Christmas album became a triple gold record by surpassing the threshold of 12,000 copies sold in 2018. As part of its international profile, the Youth Orchestra has made international tours in Latin America and Europe, traveling to Colombia and Spain, among other countries. In 2019, they participated in a project with Superar Suisse as part of Lucerne Festival, followed by a week of master classes with musicians of the Vienna Philharmonic in Salzburg. During the summer of 2022, the orchestra undertakes a tour of Europe, giving concerts at the prestigious festivals of Salzburg, Gstaad, and Lucerne. The Hilti Foundation (Schaan, Liechtenstein) is proud to present the Sinfonía por el Perú Youth Orchestra as its main partner.
