Rossano Sportiello

From Ascona to San Diego, from New York to Edinburgh: Rossano Sportiello, who was born in 1974, is an internationally celebrated stride piano virtuoso – and that’s been the case since the 1990s, when he frst captured attention as a member of the Milano Jazz Gang and for his gigs with Barry Harris and Dan Barrett. Jazz versions of the music of Schubert, Liszt, and Chopin are also among Sportiello’s specialties. In 2009 he won the Ascona Jazz Award.
