Anna Dennis commands an exceptionally wide-ranging repertoire ranging from the early Baroque to the present. On 14 May at the Pulse Festival, the British soprano will perform the solo role in America – A Prophecy by Thomas Adès – a dark meditation on the destruction of Mayan culture by the Spanish conquistadors. In conversation with Martina Hunziker, she offers insights into Adès's extraordinary work and reflects on her many years of close collaboration with the British composer and conductor, along with other formative experiences in her career. The conversation will be conducted in English.
