"As a conductor, I had my baton – and my baton would become my weapon"

In response to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, Ukrainian-Canadian conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson founded the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, which is made up of refugee musicians and Ukrainian members of European orchestras. After a sensational and highly emotional first world tour in 2022, the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra will play at Lucerne Festival 2023. Festival Director Michael Haefliger met up with Keri-Lynn Wilson in his series "Michael & Friends" to introduce viewers to this extraordinary ensemble and its mission.
