How To Purchase Tickets

  • Online Sales

    Tickets to all LUCERNE FESTIVAL events can be purchased online. Simply search for the concert you would like to attend in the events calendar and click on “purchase tickets.” Then please follow the instructions in our Webshop.

    Online purchases must be made with registration. If you would like to register as a customer with LUCERNE FESTIVAL, you will receive a password and access to your own secure customer site where you can view your reservations and create a shopping list of the concerts you would like to attend.

    Print@Home: The Option with No Extra Fees

    Purchase your tickets online and print them out yourself in the convenience of your home – with absolutely no processing fee. This option is valid only for regular tickets; discounted tickets as well as purchases in connection with special offers and promotions are excluded.

  • Ticket Sales at the Box Office

    As soon as online ticket sales have begun, which always starts at 12.00 noon Lucerne time, you can also purchase your concert tickets for that Festival by visiting the ticket outlet at our external sales outlets in person. Purchasing tickets at the ticket outlet has no processing fee.

    Regarding purchases from our sales partners, it is not possible to redeem LUCERNE FESTIVAL vouchers or vouchers from the KKL Luzern, to reprint tickets, or to return tickets for resale.
    Ticket Sales at the Box Office during the Festival
    You can purchase tickets to the current Festival as well as to events in the upcoming Festival from the LUCERNE FESTIVAL box office located near the main entrance of the KKL Luzern (on the lake side); these purchases are possible daily from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm when the Festival is underway (during the easter festival from wednesday 5, April 2017). 

    You can purchase tickets up to just before the beginning of a given event directly at the event venue:
    • for events in the KKL Luzern by going to our box office near the main entrance (lake side)
    • for events at venues outside the KKL (churches, the Casineum, etc.) by going to the box office at the entrance starting one hour before the beginning of the event
  • Written Orders (via Post or Fax)

    For written ticket orders, please use the order form that is enclosed with the applicable Festival program. You can find the dates for the beginning of sales for written orders here and in our current publications.

  • Telephone Ticket Sales

    You can order tickets for LUCERNE FESTIVAL by telephone by calling +41 (0)41 226 44 80. Telephone ticket sales always begin after online sales have begun. You can find the dates here and in our in our current publications.

  • How To Pick Up Pre-Paid Tickets

    Starting one hour before the beginning of the event pre-paid tickets and student tickets are held at the desk labeled “reserved tickets” at the main entrance of the KKL Luzern during the Easter and Piano Festivals; during the Summer Festival they are held at the box office at the main entrance.

    For events outside the KKL Luzern your tickets will be ready at the box office of that particular venue. Starting one hour before the beginning of the event you can pick up your tickets for that day’s event there. 

  • Wheelchair Seating

    To reserve wheelchair spaces please call our ticket sales office directly at +41 (0)41 226 4480. Wheelchair spaces are always made available as soon as online ticket sales begin but can only be reserved by telephone.

    The main concert hall of the KKL Lucerne has six wheelchair spaces available on special terms. Accompanying persons cannot be assured of obtaining a seat in the same price range or in the general vicinity. Wheelchair spaces are also available at the other event locations.

  • Discounts

    Discounts for Students and KulturLegi Holders

    University students, high school students, vocational students, and JTC (youth theater club) members up to the age of 30 as well as KulturLegi holders may purchase tickets for CHF 20 starting an hour before the beginning of the performance for events which are not sold out; valid identification must be presented.

    This special offer is also valid for selected events during the advance ticket sales period. You can find an overview of the current student special offers here

    Special Offer: Bring Young Listeners to the Concert
    What could be lovelier than introducing young listeners to the enchanting world of classical music? Adults buying a ticket for selected events will receive one additional free ticket of the same value for their young companion.

  • Discounted Travel

    Free Travel in the Passepartout Fare Network
    In Lucerne tickets are also valid to use on the day of the event for travel to and from the event venue within zone 10 of the Passepartout fare network (2nd class). They are valid starting 3 hours before the beginning of the event and up to 3 hours after it ends.
    50% Discount in the Swiss Rail Network
    As a concertgoer you will receive at any Swiss Rail ticket window a 50% discount on the cost of your fare to and from Lucerne in 1st or 2nd class. (Tickets must be presented for inspection on the train.) With the half-fare card the trip ends up costing only 25% of the full fare.

    This special ticket must be purchased before the trip start starts from a Swiss Rail ticket window, by telephoning the Rail Service at 0900 300 300 (CHF 1.19/min on the Swiss landline network), or online at the SBB ticket shop (www.sbb.ch/lucernefestival).
  • Vouchers

    LUCERNE FESTIVAL vouchers for any amount desired up to CHF 500 may be purchased online or ordered by telephone.

    LUCERNE FESTIVAL vouchers may be used to pay online for tickets for all events and for LUCERNE FESTIVAL shop items. You can also include your voucher with a written order or use it when making a telephone reservation. Please note that vouchers are not accepted as a means of payment by our external sales outlets.

    Vouchers are valid up to 5 years from date of issue.

  • Fees

    In addition to the published prices for tickets and items, all reservations are assessed fees for processing your order as well as packaging fees in the case of shop items.
    • with purchase of tickets and items: CHF 7 (online sales) or CHF 10 (written or telehpone orders) processing fee per reservation/order
    • purchase of items: additional packaging fee of CHF 5/15 depending on the size of the item

    With a purchase of multiple items, the packaging fee for the largest item will be charged once.

    For Print@Home tickets (Link) and tickets purchased at the box office (Link) the processing fee is waived.
