Hölderlin Performance with Michael Engelhardt

Despite the coronavirus, 2020 is still a major anniversary year for the poet Friedrich Hölderlin (who, like Beethoven, was born in 1770).

The actor and narrator Michael Engelhardt, whose Beethoven-Hölderlin projects originally planned for the Summer Festival had to be cancelled, will present a poetic performance in Lucerne's stattkino that allows audiences to experience the boundless power of Hölderlin's poetry. Visualizations of the sound of the voice and of the rhythm of language will be projected on the screen.
