General Remarks
LUCERNE FESTIVAL management reserves the right to cancel any event, even at short notice. In such cases the full purchase price of the tickets will be refunded to the purchaser. No other claims for damages will be honoured. Refund requests must be submitted no later than two months after the date of the cancelled performance. Changes of performers, programmes, or venues do not entitle the purchaser to a refund. In case an event must be postponed, the tickets remain valid for the new date concerned. Such tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. The Festival management also reserves the right to alter seat bookings as necessary (e.g. for concert broadcasts) and to assign equivalent or superior seats to the purchaser if the booked seat should no longer be available or if the change of seat should seriously affect the enjoyment of the performance. Please note that all equipment with acoustic signals (mobile phones, wristwatches, etc.) must be switched off during the performance. For the sake of the musicians and the other members of the audience, latecomers will not be seated until the intermission. The house rules of the house where the respective event of LUCERNE FESTIVAL takes place apply. Purchasers who disturb the event can be removed.
Audio-Visual Recordings during Festival Events
LUCERNE FESTIVAL makes audio-(visual) recordings of some of its performances. For this purpose the Festival reserves the right to alter seat bookings in order to accommodate camera positions. Purchasers declare themselves in agreement that the LUCERNE FESTIVAL may make use of recordings on which they identifiably appear.
Ticket Sales: Order via Internet
By clicking on the «Complete purchase» button, the purchase contract between the Purchaser and LUCERNE FESTIVAL will be concluded. At first, seats for a specific event must be chosen and the personal data of the Purchaser as well as the requested credit card information must be entered in the respective fields. Tickets can only be ordered for the seats marked as available in the internet. LUCERNE FESTIVAL reserves the right to alter seat bookings as necessary. The following credit cards are accepted for payment: VISA, MASTER-CARD/EUROCARD, AMEXCO. The Purchaser can choose if the tickets shall be set aside at the box office or if they shall be sent to a defined address by mail. LUCERNE FESTIVAL assumes no liability for tickets lost in delivery. Once purchased, tickets may neither be exchanged nor returned, except in those cases mentioned below under «Returning Tickets».
Ticket Sales: Written Orders
Written ticket orders for all LUCERNE FESTIVAL concerts should be submitted to the following address, using the appropriate preprinted order form: LUCERNE FESTIVAL, Postfach, CH-6002 Lucerne, Switzerland, or by fax at +41(0)41 226 44 85.
The use of the order form makes it possible to process your ticket requests quickly and efficiently. Please do not submit the same order more than once. While your order is being processed, please refrain from making enquiries by telephone. Should difficulties arise, we will contact you as necessary. Ticket requests are processed in order of arrival, beginning from the date on which ticket sales begin. Once an order has been confirmed, it can no longer be altered or cancelled. The amount due may be paid by credit card or by invoice. Invoices must be paid immediately. Tickets remain reserved for ten days after the date of invoice for domestic orders, or for 20 days in the case of orders from abroad. If no payment is made within this period, the reservation will be cancelled. Please examine your tickets immediately upon receipt as later complaints cannot be accepted. If we cannot be sure that you will receive your tickets in time (late orders), they will be set aside for you at the box office. LUCERNE FESTIVAL assumes no liability for tickets lost in delivery. Once purchased, tickets may neither be exchanged nor returned, except in those cases mentioned below under 'Returning Tickets'. Order forms may be requested from the Festival at any time.
Ticket Sales: Orders by Telephone
Ticket orders will be accepted by phone during the time periods published on our website at +41(0)41 226 4480. The same conditions apply as to written ticket orders.
Wheelchair Seats
The KKL Luzern (Lucerne Culture and Convention Centre) has six wheelchair seats available on special terms. The Festival cannot ensure that accompanying persons will receive a seat in the same price category or in general vicinity.
Duplicates
Where possible, we will provide duplicates for lost concert tickets. Such duplicates are handed out exclusively at the evening box office for a fee of CHF 10.
Returning Tickets
For events which are sold out, we will accept tickets for resale on a commission basis. Our commission is 30% of the purchase price. Accounts are settled at the end of the Festival period. The costs of wire transfer are charged to the recipient. The Festival can offer no assurance that returned tickets will be resold.
Resale
The resale of tickets at prices higher than those indicated on the tickets is prohibited.
Price Reductions
University students, high school students, vocational trainees, JTC members up to the age of 30 and KulturLegi holders may purchase tickets at CHF 20 for events which are not sold out. Such tickets are available at the ticket office upon presentation of a valid identification card. Thereafter no price reductions are possible. The purchaser must also present a valid identification card at the doors of the venue.
Data Privacy
All the information we receive with your order may be processed by us and used for advertising purposes. Purchasers agree with such data processing and usage of their data. LUCERNE FESTIVAL does not deal in customer data.
Audio-Visual Recordings by Visitors
All kind of audio- or audio-visual recordings during events of LUCERNE FESTIVAL are strictly prohibited.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
The seat of jurisdiction for all disputes in connection with ticket sales and the handling of events is Lucerne, Switzerland. Swiss substantive law applies.
