Isabelle Welton studied law at the University of Zurich and has worked in New York, Tokyo, Geneva, and Zurich for such institutions as Citibank and Zurich Financial Services. In 2003 she transferred to IBM, serving first as a member of the Executive Board responsible for corporate communications and marketing. She then took on various managerial positions in European management, including directing development of marketing and communication in Central and Eastern Europe. Since January 2010 she has been serving as Chair of the Executive Board of IBM Switzerland.
