“Drumblebee”

Are drums able to fly? “Drumblebee” is a virtuosic flight of the bumblebee that combines movement and rhythm, archaic power and unbridled enthusiasm, tempo and spontaneity with a staged percussion concerto that doesn’t resort to words. The musical protagonists—the four percussionists of the Paris-based Quatuor Beat—will be supported by Luxembourgian director Dan Tanson and Austrian choreographer Ela Baumann, who thrilled young audiences last summer with “Rocky Roccoco.”

A coproduction of LUCERNE FESTIVAL with the Philharmonie Luxembourg, KölnMusik, and the Grazer Spielstätten
