"El pueblo nunca muere"

A cinematic version of Klaus Huber’s composition "Erniedrigt – geknechtet – verlassen – verachtet
…". Directed by Mathias Knauer (Switzerland 1985)

In conjunction with this year’s Summer Festival, the Lucerne “stattkino” will show selected films, including portraits of our “star artist” Hélène Grimaud as well as of the LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY and of Swiss composers Klaus Huber and Rolf Liebermann. Additionally—and as a complement to the festival motto of “Eros”—films will be shown of outstanding productions of the operas “Lulu,” “Pelléas and Mélisande,” and “Tristan and Isolde.”
